Description

  • 1 lb beef sirloin (cut into thin strips)
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 medium onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 8 oz mushrooms (sliced)
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (chopped (for garnish))

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef strips and cook until browned, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the onion and garlic, sautéing until soft, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the mushrooms and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle the flour over the mushroom mixture and stir to combine. Gradually add the beef broth, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
  6. Reduce the heat and stir in the Worcestershire sauce and sour cream. Return the beef to the skillet and heat through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve the beef stroganoff over the cooked egg noodles, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of red wine to the sauce while cooking.
