This classic Beef Stroganoff features tender strips of beef simmered in a creamy mushroom sauce and served over egg noodles. It's a comforting dish that's perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

- 1 lb beef sirloin (cut into thin strips)
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 medium onion (chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 8 oz mushrooms (sliced)
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (chopped (for garnish))
Instructions
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef strips and cook until browned, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the onion and garlic, sautéing until soft, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the mushrooms and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle the flour over the mushroom mixture and stir to combine. Gradually add the beef broth, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
- Reduce the heat and stir in the Worcestershire sauce and sour cream. Return the beef to the skillet and heat through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the beef stroganoff over the cooked egg noodles, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of red wine to the sauce while cooking.
- Feel free to substitute the beef with chicken or turkey for a different twist.
